Bristol teenager dies in road traffic accident

by Alison Leon 8 September 2010

A teenage girl has died after a road traffic accident in Bristol.

The 17-year-old was one of three people in a Mini Cooper which hit a boundary wall in Blackswarth Road at about 10.30pm on Monday.

The driver of the car, a 23-year-old man, remains in hospital in a serious condition. Another passenger, a man, was able to get out of the car after the crash. He was not seriously hurt.

Fire fighters had to cut the roof off the car to free the passengers. The girl was taken to hospital by ambulance but later died from her injuries.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this accident.
