by Kathryn Boast 11 October 2010

A man has died after sustaining a fatal head injury in a street fight.

James McVey, 18, from Fazakerley in Merseyside, was found by a member of the public as he lay in an alleyway in Walton, following a fight outside a local nightclub on Saturday morning.

Two youths aged 15 and 16 have been arrested on suspicion of murder, reports BBC Liverpool. The former has been released on bail but the latter is still being questioned.

Mr McVey died of his injury in Fazakerley Hospital. Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area of Dunnys club on Stalmine Road at around midnight on Friday.
