by Injury Claim
12 August 2010
Two brothers who deliberately orchestrated car crashes in order to profit from fraudulent insurance claims could have caused themselves a deliberate work injury, as well as put other road users at unnecessary risk.
Rezwan and Rehan Javed paid drivers to deliberately cause accidents, which would then result in the other party passing their insurance details to the brothers' NWCC company, who would claim extravagant amounts for the orchestrated accidents and then pocket the difference themselves.
One of their main drivers, who was caught out by office workers who noticed his propensity towards having crashing in the same place every day, was jailed for four and a half years.
The brothers will be sentenced in December.
