A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy and his mother have been taken to hospital after their car collided with a lorry on the A12, reports the Chelmsford Weekly News.
The 32-year-old woman suffered chest injuries, while her son suffered whiplash after her silver Vauxhall Tigra struck the back of an articulated Renault lorry.
The accident happened on the northbound lane of the carriageway near Stanway at 3.15am yesterday.
The pair, from Ipswich, were taken to Colchester General Hospital for treatment, but thankfully their injuries are not thought to be serious.
