A former holiday rep from Skelmersdale has suffered whiplash after the plane in which she was travelling was struck by a bus on the runway. Stephanie Wills was travelling alone when the coach containing disabled passengers drove straight into the side of the plane at Majorca’s Palma airport. She says several passengers were thrown to one side by the collision, which occurred when some passengers were placing their luggage in the overhead compartments. Miss Wills also says information about what had happened was not forthcoming and expressed shock at the delay in getting passengers on an alternative flight. Miss Wills will be unable to return to work for several weeks thanks to the injuries she sustained in the accident.
