Police officers attending an emergency in South London were themselves seriously injured in a car crash yesterday.
The officers had to be cut out of their patrol car after it collided with another vehicle at the junction of Wellington and John Wilson Streets in Woolwich, at about 4.30pm.
The civilian also had to be cut from his car as fire crews from both Plumstead and Woolwich attended. All three were taken to hospital: a 27 year old woman and a 34 year old man to Queen Elizabeth Hospital and a 37 year old man to Royal London.
The officers have since been discharged from hospital, reports the News Shopper.
