Female pedestrian wins £2912.50 compensation

by Injury Claim 18 December 2009

A female pedestrian was walking to a bus stop by herself. She cut through a local Car Park to get to her bus stop.

As she was walking through the car park, she tripped on an unrepaired defect in the pavement. The defect in the pavement was over 1 inch deep. The trip caused her to fall to the ground landing heavily on her left knee and back.

She sustained a knee injury which was extremely painful and she found it difficult to walk.

A doctor sent her to the Royal Victoria Hospital where she had an x-ray and confirmed her injury as tendon damage to the left knee, leaving her in a support grip and crutches.

The woman approached Accident Advice Helpline, experts in injury compensation claims and they helped her win compensation. The owner of the car park was found liable for not maintaining the car park to a safe standard which caused the accident. She was awarded £2,912.50 in compensation for her injuries and suffering.
