A mother of four seriously injured in a car crash has been awarded a multi-million pound compensation package.
The victim, 48, was involved in a head-on collision with a Ford Ka whose 76 year old driver had lost consciousness. Ernest Bromsgrove, who suffered from a heart condition, died in the accident on Miles Gray Road, Basildon, Essex.
The woman was airlifted to the Queen’s Hospital in Romford for emergency treatment, and sustained personal injury that means she struggles with oratory and visual functions as well as suffering partial paralysis on her left hand side. She is confined to a wheelchair and needs the money awarded to find her long-term care into the future.
Mr Bromsgrove’s insurers accepted responsibility for the payment.
