A London delivery driver won his claim for compensation following a life-changing accident at work.
Peter Snowling was unloading a lorry full of frozen peas when he slipped from the ramp he was standing on and hit the ground heavily. He sustained a fractured skull and damage to his spine in the accident, which is likely to have an impact on his future ability to work.
Although his employer has not admitted full liability, they have agreed on a compensation claim figure of £250,000, which could be the only income that Mr Snowling has in future. His wife only works part-time so they remain concerned about their financial future.
