A 20-year old man killed in a car crash in the summer was over the drink-driving limit, a court has heard.
Danny Love, who was 20, died when he was flung from his Volkswagen Golf on 5 August after losing control and hitting a tree.
Mr Love, of Knockholt in Kent, was more than one and a half times the legal limit when the accident happened, toxicology reports confirmed.
His friend Jack Winstone, who survived the crash, told the court: "On that road it is the national speed limit, we were going a fair bit over that.
"I didn't feel he thought he had lost control as we went around the bend, but I knew that he had."
This is Kent reports North & West Kent coroner Roger Hatch as saying: "The sad fact is that he was not wearing his seatbelt and had he been it may not have been as tragic as it was."
