Men injured in brace of Kidderminster car crashes

by Tejas Mehta 28 September 2010

Police are appealing for witnesses to an early morning car crash in which a Kidderminster pub was damaged.

At about 12.50 this morning, a silver Vauxhall Vectra crashed through a fence on Tennyson Way and struck the Cavalier pub, causing some damage to a door.

Police believe that the Vauxhall contained two people, but when they arrived they only found one dazed man in his mid-20s, who required treatment for shock and some minor injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the accident, and police are keen to trace the other person involved.

Elsewhere, a 63-year old man was seriously injured in the same area after a two-car crash on the Kidderminster to Stourbridge Road which also resulted in a man in his thirties sustaining a suspected back injury. Both men were taken by ambulance to Russells Hall Hospital. The road was closed for several hours after the accident.
