Essex grandfather killed own wife in car crash

by Richard Robins 28 September 2010

A man is to appear in court in the New Year charged with killing his own wife and another man in a car crash, reports the Epping Forest News.

Reginald ‘Jim’ Moulton, 78, of Greensted Road, Loughton, Essex, was driving a Mitsubishi Pajero in Stanford Rivers on August 16th, 2009, when it struck the motorcycle of 45 year old Denroy Dixon from Harlow, killing him immediately. Mr Moulton’s wife, Maureen, who was sitting in the back of the car, also died in the accident, at the junction of London Road and Shonks Mill Road.

Mr Moulton, who is yet to enter a plea, has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been released on unconditional bail and is due to return to Chelmsford Crown Court on January 10th.
