Two incompetent robbers managed to crash their getaway car after holding up a convenience store in Greater Manchester.
The masked men threatened staff at a branch of Pricecutter in Davyhulme on Sunday at 1940BST.
After procuring cash from a terrified shop assistant they sped off in a silver BMW M5 which it is believed they stole from a house in Stretford some half an hour before, reports the Manchester Evening News.
But shortly after the robbery the M5 was found near Southern Cemetery in Chorlton, having been involved in a crash. The robbers were seen fleeing the scene.
It is thought that the robbers stole the keys of the car by throwing a plant pot through the window of the owner’s house.
A man has been arrested, pending further enquiries.
