[January 2010] A welder from Borehamwood who was crushed by a forklift truck while working in East Ham has been awarded over £10,000 in personal injury compensation.
He became trapped between the forklift and a skip after a colleague failed to spot him while moving some scrap metal.
The man had to be rushed to hospital. He was diagnosed with 15 broken ribs, a collapsed lung and damage to his spine.

Accident Advice Helpline gave him free expert advice and advised him how to
claim compensation. With their help he was awarded £10,124, for his
back injuries and loss of earnings.
